The MAST is located on the lands of Brayakuloong clan of the Kurnai people. We pay our respect to elders and community, welcome you to our space and acknowledge the land was never ceded.

The MAST resides above the Warragul & Drouin Gazette Newspaper, in a heritage listed property unique to the town of Warragul. The MAST’s nautical references stem from a sea captain, Albert Harvey, the original founder of the newspaper in 1898.

The building has been a keeper of stories and a calling point for the local community to share their voices ever since. The MAST will continue with this in it’s own modern and unique way.

LAUREN MURPHY
LAUREN MURPHY PHOTOGRAPHY
DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER

She gravitates to people and projects, and isn’t afraid to turn her hands to learn new skills to get things done. Life nurturer to two children and a rabbit that is more like a pet dog, Lauren likes to keep life productive but appreciates the reminders to slow down. Her careers as a Social Worker and Professional Photographer have collided to create the MAST and Lauren isn’t the only one excited to see what emerges.

CRAIG FISON

MAST COLLECTIVE MEMBER

Craig grew up in a very industrial lower working class area South of Perth called Kwinana and despite being told by his guidance officer that he would never make a living in the Arts, he has. Craig is incredibly driven by what art can do for people and has worked on small community projects to film of the highest calibre. Any Star Wars fans listening? Craig is a magician at creating something awe inspiring from little and the MAST simply wouldn’t be where it is without him.
